Adventure Camp
(Advanced Rider Offroad Training)

RawHyde Adventures is pleased to announce our "Advanced Riders" off road training program. In every sport or endeavor there are varying levels of competency which quantify the abilities of the participants, beginner, intermediate, advanced & expert seem to be the most commonly used terms.

That's probably true among "adventure riders" as well, but we think that the distinctions between categories blur a little bit in "Adventure Riding" because it's not really a sport… but rather a lifestyle. The word "sport" would indicate some form of competition and what we do is typically not competitive. We categorize skill levels based on the types of terrain we'll have to ride through in order to get someplace. The rule of thumb is; the more remote the area, the more difficult the access, thus the better skills we need to get there.

The RawHyde "Advanced Riders Class" was not created to turn you into a "rally racer" but rather to equip you with the skills to "get where you want to go!" It will also give you a "relaxed confidence" which will help you deal with the challenges that arise in the backcountry.

The RawHyde "Advanced Riders Curriculum" was created as a result of interviews conducted with several hundred riders consisting of past customers and other motorcyclists. These riders shared their thoughts as to what they were looking for in an advanced class. We listened and then developed this program for both those who have completed the RawHyde "Intro to Adventure" class and/or for those who want to understand the "thresholds and limits" of bikes like the BMW GS or other large enduro machines.

A comparison between RawHyde programs:

Our "intro to adventure" camp/class is designed to provide a basic understanding of off road riding principles and techniques to help you become comfortable riding "dirt roads" and easier jeep trails.

The Advanced program is designed to help you understand the limits at which a "big enduro bike" can be ridden. You progress at your own pace, and become familiar with what your personal risk thresholds are, You will have time to determine what types of terrain you "are" and "are not" comfortable with. Our curriculum allows you to experiment with the "extremes" of adventure riding, in a controlled environment. You can come back to take the class time and again, improving your skill sets each time.
