Satellite phones allow you to reach out to the rest of the world from the most remote places on the planet. They are a must for the adventure rider, they are inexpensive, reliable, and a tremendous comfort to have with you, knowing you can communicate with the rest of the world…. In the picture, the gold areas represent excellent satellite coverage, the yellow is the fringe area, and the purple represents marginal service. (not usually a problem for the motorcyclist.

We carry a Globalstar Satellite phone on all of our tours, and adventures. We will explain the benefits and limitations of the Globalstar system at adventure camp.

Delorme Mapping software, and GPS programs allow you to create your own maps. We make all of our own tour maps here at RawHyde Adventures, and for those riders who join us for the "Adventure Experience" we will make our own trail maps for the actual routes we ride over the three day experience.

PLB's also known as Personal Locator Beacons, are the new standard of safety for the adventure traveler. These incredible devices will allow you to notify the authorities of emergency situations, and broadcast your exact coordinates to them from anywhere in the world. We will give you hands on experience with how these devices work, and what the rules are for their use at the RawHyde Adventure camp.

Garmin GPS's set the standard for innovation and reliability. We use Garmin at RawHyde Adventures, and have for several years. Combined with the Mapsets of Delorme, and the availability of Garmin's integral backcountry maps. Learn to use the Garmin GPS at both RawHyde Adventure Camp, and the RawHyde Adventure Experience, as you use both maps and the GPS units to find one of our many "Geo Moto Caches"

Baehr Communications systems, We use the Baehr Comm. Systems at RawHyde Adventures and have found them to be invaluable. With a thumb actuated push to talk feature, the ability to talk amongst a group in the back country is a life saver. For Warnings, calling for help from fellow riders, or just sharing the camaraderie of the ride, the Baehr is an integrated system, that can be "hard wired" into the bike, or kept in your tank bag. It puts systems like the "Chatterbox to shame" Built in Germany many of the Baehr systems have BMW matching connectors to make hooking the system into your bike a breeze.
