Dakar Dag & the attack turkeys of the C-spear ranch, next door to Carlink Ranch.

RALLY SCHEDULE:


Thursday (November 3rd):

  • 4:00 PM - The Rally will officially open
  • 7:00 PM - Welcome & Orientation
  • 7:30 PM - Welcome Bar B'Q dinner
  • 8:30 to 9:00PM - Fireside Chat with Jim from RawHyde Adventures, and the owner of the Carlink Ranch, Andy Smallhouse and his wife Stephanie. They will share what its like to own and operate a real cattle ranch in the new millennium.

Friday (November 4th):

  • 7:00 to 8:30 AM - Pancake Breakfast, with "bag lunches for ride outs"
  • 9:00 AM - Jim from RawHyde Adventures will be offering a 30 minute overview of safe "off road riding tips".
  • 9:30 AM - All Adventure rides begin!
    If you have signed up for the "Ranch tour"... You'll be back for lunch and a chance for a 2nd ride before sunset. And the all day groups will have lunch "on the trail" and will be back in camp for happy hour.
  • 7:30 PM - Dinner, followed by the movie "On any Sunday" a moto cult classic. A must see for any off road oriented motorcyclist.

Saturday (November 5th):

  • 7:00 to 8:30 AM - Breakfast
  • 9:00 to 9:30 AM - All adventure rides begin
  • 7:30 PM - Dinner followed by some local entertainment. Cowboy poets, and Cowboy guitar comedy… real cowboy stuff, its only appropriate considering the locale don't you think?

Sunday (November 6th):

  • 7:00 to 8:30 AM - Breakfast and good byes for the long rides home. Hopefully this glimpse into the lives of a genuine modern day ranch family have given you a new appreciation for that "T" bone steak that you flip onto your Bar BQ next weekend. We hope you will join us again in the future for another "Adventure".

ACCOMODATIONS:

Camping is included with your entry fee, and frankly its 20 miles on a dirt road to get anywhere. Camping is your only real option. Plus where else will you have the chance to spend the nite at a real cattle ranch? If you are not a camper, you can book the "rally special package' with RawHyde Adventures and spend the nite in the relative luxury of their "hotel on wheels". .



What to Bring:

If you are camping;

- Sleeping bag & pad
- Tent & ground cloth
- Folding chair or stool
- Clothes and personal items
- A towel, soap and shampoo
- Sandals to wear to the shower
- A cot
- Sunscreen, and chapstick
- Warm clothes, it will be chilly at nite.



For your comfort:

- There will be a first aid station

- There will be toilets will be on site.

- We are working on a shower set up, stay tuned for details.

- There will be a beverage vendor on site for water and other beverages.

- We will have the "Dakar Bar" as usual serving some of the unique micro beverages of the area.

- All meals are provided, and special needs (within our abilities) will be met
