RawHyde's Pikes Peak Adventure Rally 2

It's time for you to think about our big summer adventure. Make plans for August and join us as we head to Pikes Peak, Colorado to get out of the heat. It's unbelievable riding in a place of history, inspiration & adventure - plus its absolutely, positively one of the most amazing views in the world!

Everyone has heard of Pikes Peak, and as an "Adventure Rider" the peak beckons us to visit! For a variety of reasons, Pikes Peak is one of the "ultimate destinations" and a "must see" in the USA. As adventure riders we like to see the "extremes" of the world: Prudhoe Bay Alaska (the farthest north you can take a motorcycle); Copper Canyon Mexico ( the deepest place to ride); and Pikes Peak, which gives you the chance to "stand above it all" at the highest dirt road in America. Imagine... towering over 14,100 feet in the air "looking down" on the Rocky Mountains. The highest (off-road) mountain pass in America is not far from Leadville. Mosquito Pass at 13,100 is also one of the crown jewels of adventure riding. BUT Pikes Peak puts you over a thousand feet above Mosquito Pass.

So C'mon and ride with us at the Pikes Peak Adventure Rally - three days of fun in the temparate elevations of Colorado.

HERE ARE THE DETAILS:

When: August 19th to 22nd 2010

Where: Colorado Springs, CO.

How Much: $299

What Is Included?: 8 great meals plus drinks (dinner on Thursday through Breakfast Sunday), an event shirt, an 8x10 group photo at the top of Pikes Peak, maps and GPS tracks for rides in the area, camping included and 3 amazing days of riding the cool high-elevations of Colorado.

HERE IS THE AGENDA:

...plus some highlights of great stuff to do in the area.

Road to Pikes PeakOn Friday - we are riding to the top of Pikes Peak and we will be hiring a helicopter for a "group photo". Imagine what that picture will be like...a bunch of Adventure Riders and their bikes at the top of the highest point you can reach "on the dirt" with the stunning Rocky Mountains as a back drop. Wow... A run up Pikes Peak is inspiring because you get to follow in the footsteps of many of America's most famous "racers" and participate in the heritage of the second oldest motorsports race in America (the oldest is "the race to the clouds" at Mt. Washington, New Hampshire). A quick note though: Mt. Washington is only 6500 feet - Pikes Peak is over 14,000.
